The first GovCamp in Australia was held in Canberra on 10 September 2011.
The day focused on implementation of emerging technologies, Gov 2.0 and Open Government, with talks welcomed about new case studies from all spheres of government and also from the broader community engaged in Open Government projects. Also welcomed were talks about relevant technologies and policies such as Web 2.0, social media, Augmented Reality, mobile government, geospatial strategies, policies relating to Gov 2.0 implementation, open data/standards/copyright, metadata and how to do online community engagement, as well as anything else related to new ways of doing government and service delivery.
